Sauna price in Palembang: what each format actually costs

These are planning numbers - the fixed price comes after a free look at the room.
What actually moves the number
- Timber choice. Spruce is the budget-friendly option, cedar sits in the middle, and thermowood costs the most simply because it moves the least once humidity hits 80 per cent.
- Heater and controls. Harvia, Sawo or Tylo units range 3.6 to 12 kW, and a digital controller with phone control adds to the final number.
- Glass and stone. An 8 mm tempered-glass wall costs more per square metre than a clad panel, and imported onyx in a designed cabin is priced sheet by sheet.
- Your existing supply. Raising a connection from 4,400 to 7,700 or 11,000 VA is billed by PLN to the owner and stays outside our quote; where raising it is not an option, an infrared cabin sidesteps the issue entirely.
- Site access. A heritage house in Talang Semut with a 70 cm-wide lane means panels get assembled indoors, adding three to five working days versus a wide-doored cluster house in Alang-Alang Lebar.
- Distance travelled. Prabumulih, Lubuklinggau, Pagaralam and Pangkalpinang each carry their own travel line for the crew, itemised openly rather than buried inside the cabin price.
Running costs, once the cabin is actually in use
Based on three to five sessions a week and the standard domestic tariff, budget an indicative IDR 200,000-500,000 monthly for a 6 kW sauna room, IDR 100,000-250,000 for an infrared cabin, IDR 300,000-600,000 for a steam room including its water use, and IDR 300,000-700,000 for an ice bath, whose chiller works harder here than in a cooler city since the surrounding air rarely drops below 30 degrees.

Upkeep stays light: bench oil annually, heater stones swapped every two to three years, and the ice bath filter rinsed on a fortnightly cycle. Spare elements and controllers sit ready at the workshop, so a service call never waits on a parcel from Java.

Does the quoted price include the electricity a sauna or ice bath will use?
No, running costs sit outside the build price since they depend on how often you use the room. As a guide, a 6 kW sauna room runs an indicative IDR 200,000-500,000 a month and an ice bath chiller IDR 300,000-700,000; both are broken down further above.
We are a sports club - can invoices be issued per project stage rather than a lump sum?
Yes, and most club and hotel work already runs that way: a deposit at signing, a progress payment before installation, and a final balance at handover, each appearing as its own line so your accounts team has something to reconcile against.
Is water filtration for an ice bath part of the quoted price, or billed separately?
It is built into the base figure. Every tub we install includes sediment filtration and an ozone or ultraviolet stage before handover, since Palembang's mains and well water both need conditioning to stay usable for shared or daily use.
How is the travel cost calculated for jobs outside Palembang itself?
It appears as its own line rather than being folded into the build price. Prabumulih, Lubuklinggau and Pagaralam trips are costed by distance and combined into a single regional visit wherever possible, which also keeps the line item smaller than a dedicated trip would be.
