What moves the figure in this city?
- Timber. Spruce keeps a build affordable, cedar is the usual compromise, and thermowood carries the highest price precisely because it moves least at 80 per cent humidity.
- Heater and controls. A Harvia heater, Sawo or Tylo between 3.6 and 12 kW, with digital control and a phone application adding to the total.
- Glass and stone. Swapping a clad panel for 8 mm tempered glass costs more per square metre; imported onyx in a designed cabin is priced sheet by sheet.
- House supply. Raising a connection from 4,400 to 7,700 or 11,000 VA is paid to PLN by the owner and sits outside our quote. Where a raise is impossible, an infrared cabin removes the line entirely.
- Access. A heritage house in Talang Semut with a 70 cm lane means panels assembled indoors, three to five working days longer than a wide-doored cluster house in Alang-Alang Lebar.
- Distance. Prabumulih, Lubuklinggau, Pagaralam and Pangkalpinang carry a travel line for the crew, quoted openly rather than folded into the cabin price.
What it costs once it is running
At three to five sessions a week on the current domestic tariff, expect an indicative IDR 200,000-500,000 a month for a 6 kW sauna room, IDR 100,000-250,000 for an infrared cabin, IDR 300,000-600,000 for a steam room including water, and IDR 300,000-700,000 for an ice bath, where the chiller works harder than it would elsewhere because the ambient air sits above 30 degrees.
| Format | Typical use | Per month |
|---|---|---|
| Sauna room, 6-9 kW | four or five evenings a week, 90 minutes door to door | IDR 200,000-500,000 |
| Infrared cabin, 1.7-2.4 kW | once or twice daily, 45 minutes at a time | IDR 100,000-250,000 |
| Steam room, 6-9 kW | four or five times a week, an hour each | IDR 300,000-600,000 |
| Ice bath, half to one HP chiller | held at 8-15 degrees around the clock | IDR 300,000-700,000 |
Upkeep is modest: bench oil once a year, heater stones renewed every two to three years, the ice bath filter rinsed every fortnight. Spare elements and controllers are kept at the workshop, so a call-out does not wait on a delivery from Java.
Frequently asked questions
Why is a sauna in Palembang no dearer than one in Java?
Because the cabin is made here. Panels, benches and frames come out of our own workshop in Ilir Barat I, and only the heater, glass and hardware travel up by road in one to five days. What you avoid is a crew flown in and billed to you, which is the largest hidden line in most out-of-town quotes.
Are the survey and the drawing chargeable?
No. The survey, the measurements and the visualisation of the cabin in your room are free, in the city and on regional trips. Nothing is invoiced before you accept the itemised quote and pay the deposit.
Do these figures include installation and the warranty?
They do. Every range covers fabrication, delivery, installation by our own crew, the heat test and the two-year structural warranty, The heater keeps its separate manufacturer cover of one to two years. Outside the figure sit the PLN upgrade and any building management charge.
Can we phase the work over two budgets?
Frequently done. Many households start with an ice bath and add a cabin the following year, or fit the sauna room first and leave the plunge for later. We design the drainage and circuits for both at survey so the second phase does not undo the first.

Send us the room size and we will send a figure
A few lines is enough. A manager calls back the same day and arranges the free survey, in the city or out in the regional towns.
Send photographs of the room and we will send a figure
Three photographs and a rough measurement are enough for an opening range. The survey itself is free, in Palembang and in the regional towns.
