Why older Palembang houses gravitate toward infrared

Because it sidesteps the single obstacle those houses genuinely cannot clear easily. A colonial-era house in Talang Semut or an older Ilir Timur street typically runs on 2,200 to 4,400 VA, and raising that supply often means rewiring a property whose distribution board has not been touched in decades. A cabin drawing only 1.7-2.4 kW never forces that question in the first place.

Its size helps as well. A one-seat 1x1 m cabin fits on a landing, in a dressing room or a bedroom corner, and its panels are narrow enough for a tight doorway, which matters on streets where the lorry stops at the corner and the rest is carried by hand. No wall is chased and no original floor is drilled. We still fit the cabin its own dedicated circuit, breaker and ELCB, and we check the existing consumer unit first, since older houses in this city often carry circuits that were never designed for a continuous load.

Fitting takes one to two days. Panels come finished from Ilir Barat I, the cabin is assembled, wired and tested, and most owners use it the same evening.
